This memory is the one I remember the most. On one trip to the Isle of Man we all arrived there ok but one boyfriend of one of the girls had to work and could not make it until a few days later so she came with us. Her boyfriend had given her strict instructions to behave and not to go on the back of anybody else's bike but as there was definitely some chemistry between her and Cad she became Cad's pillion passenger. When on one of our rides around the circuit Cad made a rare mistake overtaking a bus on a semi-blind bend, I was behind him when a car came the other way and Cad crashed into it with the girl on the back.

She was ok, mainly I think by landing on top of Cad and just suffered some minor cuts and bruises. Cad was not so lucky and injured his leg which resulted in it being strapped up or in a plaster cast (I can't remember which) so his leg could be kept completely straight for a week. Cad had to ride on the back of somebody else for the rest of the trip and it was an hilarious sight to see Cad riding pillion leaning back with his leg stiff as a board pointing about 35 degrees left. It drew a lot of attention wherever we went. Imagine trying to do that today, you'd be locked up in flash.

I remember the panic of the girl about how to explain to her boyfriend when he arrived what had happened. I can't remember her name but I think his name was Bob. I don't remember the outcome.
